Plaqueboymax, born Maxwell Dent, started his online journey on YouTube as "MaxGotNext" with a middle school basketball video. His heritage is a mix of Western Bantu, Ivorian, and Beninese descent.
After a stint with the collaborative channel "Basement Boyz," Dent struck out on his own in 2021. Reacting to Tana Mongeau's "Antisocial 2" video became his breakout moment, launching his "plaqueboymax" channel and a loyal fanbase called "5$TAR."
