Loish, a digital artist, has been passionate about drawing since childhood. Born in the Netherlands, her family moved to the U.S. when she was 4, and later lived in Indonesia, France, and Belgium. This multicultural upbringing influenced her artistic style.
At 15, Loish discovered digital art through Photoshop and Oekaki. She pursued animation, studying in Ghent and then at HKU in Hilversum, where she earned her master's degree in 2009 with her project Trichrome Blue. After graduating, she freelanced, focusing on character design for clients like LEGO, Guerrilla Games, Amazon, EA, and Coca-Cola.
In 2016, Loish published her first artbook, The Art of Loish, followed by The Sketchbook of Loish in 2018. These books, funded on Kickstarter, include her art, tips, tutorials, and insights into her creative process, reflecting her passion for sharing knowledge about digital art.
